The Role

As a Fantasy Cricket Operations Analyst you will play a central role in delivering 11Wizards fantasy cricket insights to our users, and maintaining the smooth functioning of our live fantasy cricket analytics platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Combining your cricket knowledge with our in-house analytical tools to generate high quality pre-match fantasy cricket predictions and line-up suggestions for our users.
  • Working quickly and accurately under pressure to update 11Wizards fantasy predictions after the toss
  • Managing the flow of data from 11Wizards internal systems to the app, and ensuring that all data, information and predictions are high quality and accurate.
  • Supporting the smooth functioning of our app by proactively resolving data issues in 11Wizards internal systems
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of global cricket, in particular keeping abreast of player transfers, team news, injury status and selection strategy for a wide variety of international and domestic cricket teams.
  • Monitoring the stability and functioning of the platform, and escalating issues to software development teams and product management teams as they arise in real-time.
  • Providing feedback on 11Wizards predictions to help us continuously improve our methodologies
  • Providing feedback to product, technology and design teams to assist in the development of high class internal data systems and the 11Wizards app.

Note that this role will involve some element of weekend work or unsociable hours, as dictated by the cricket schedule.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • An in-depth knowledge of global cricket, including players, tournaments, franchises and match results at both the international and domestic level.
  • An interest in fantasy sports. Prior experience playing DFS or season long fantasy may be beneficial, but is not essential.
  • A high level of numeracy and problem solving, demonstrated either through your academic or professional experiences. A 2:1 or equivalent in an undergraduate degree with a high analytical component is desirable, but not essential.
  • The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • A keen eye for detail, in particular the ability to spot inaccuracies in sporting data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The self discipline and positive mindset to work effectively as part of a remote team.
  • Prior customer service experience may be beneficial, but is not essential.
  • Prior experience working in an operational role within a may be beneficial, but is not essential.
